I don’t remember where I left off but the other day I went to see Underworld 3 with Caitlin. Nick was there too. I had some big league chew. There was not enough Kate Beckinsale in that movie. 5 seconds at the end and that was it.
Blargh I don’t remember what else. I saw How To Lose Friends & Alienate People which for some reason had a lot of people in it. Simon Pegg (!!!) Megan Fox, Gillian Anderson, Kirsten Dunst. It was pretty funny. I would reccommend. I guess theres more but I’m sure it relates to the links I am about to post.
newssss…
http://edition.cnn.com/2009/LIVING/personal/01/23/lw.opposite.sex.friends/index.html — I certainly hope everyone I know finds them selves in a relationship that accepts opposite sex friends. Twould be sad if it wasn’t. As much as I love Pops & Teej I don’t really have any other really good guy friends. Everyone else is a chick. Plus I know a ton of people getting married or close to getting married. Jeeze this could very easily vere off into something totally depressing but I’ll stop here and move on to…
http://www.geekologie.com/2009/01/commercial_hey_kids_wicked_eye.php — …KIDS WITH CRAZY EYEBROWS! Seriously, watch this video. These kids are probably crack babies.
http://io9.com/5138395/could-we-turn-the-earth-into-a-giant-hard-drive — If the world was a giant magnetic harddrive wouldn’t anyone be able to pull information from it from anywhere. It would basically be a giant wikipedia. If you wanted really top secret planet harddrives you would have to go use a distant planet and forbid anyone from going to it.
http://io9.com/5138522/the-man-of-steel-and-braaaaiiinnnsss?skyline=true&s=i — I am uber excited to start reading *Insert Superhero* Zombie comics/graphic novels. I can’t wait. I still have a few books to read before I can start batch ordering all these. WOOT.
Back story! I decided a long long time ago I would take up paint by numbers. I know it sounds stupid but my grandpa used to do it and he was amazing at it. I actually didn’t even know they were paint by numbers until after he passed away and left one unfinished. They look very real. At first I wanted to take it up and learn to be as good as him so I could finish his unfinished piece but now I think I just want to do it to do it. I’ve since decided I also want to learn how to build a ship in a bottle, thanks to Battlestar Galactica and Beth’s dad. Also, I am going to get a Chia Pet. Which leads me into the next story.
http://www.geekologie.com/2009/01/wow_just_wow_chia_obama_heads.php — Don’t worry it probably won’t be a Obama head. Maybe a fox, or a rabbit, or a simple tree or something. Also, I’ll try keeping a bamboo alive again too.
http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/ — This is definitely something everyone should check out. It take an image and rasterizes it, turning it into a huge huge huge image made of dots. Color or black and white. Then it creates a PDF of every page it takes to print out the giant image then you put them together to basically create a really friggin huge poster. I tried it with a giant forest scene and made it like 150 inches by 50 inches and I tried it with the Chicago skyline at the same size roughly. When I get new ink I might print them out and put them up. It would be wicked crazy to see such a huge image on the wall.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHrhUpAjIYw&feature=related — I bought this game off the Xbox Live Community channel. It was made by some random bunch of people in korea and its actually really fun. It may not look like it but the game makes you go ‘WOAH woah woah holy crrrrraaaaaappppp wooo!” while your playing it. With in the first 30 seconds I was like this seems like fun. I’ll take it. It was only 5 bucks so it wasn’t that bad. Better than 20 bucks for Castle Crashers or 15 for Braid on the official Xbox Live Arcade. I say everyone should atleast go try the trial version of Carnival Showtime.
Also, I wonder if anyone that reads these from the facebook feed knows they come from johnholst.com/blog
Probably not.
